Beginner's Foundation Module (8 weeks)

This 8 week foundation module is designed for new beginners who are generally healthy and who wish to become a regular practitioner of yoga. Each participant will be given a fundamental understanding of:

  • Background of Yoga - The purpose of man’s life. What’s yoga?
  • Human Developmental Patterns using Body-Mind Centering (BMC)
  • Breathing pattern – Truth about breathing, the respiratory system, how to open primary & secondary breathing muscles & re-pattern distorted breathing, experience body & breath
  • synchrony
  • Spinal Curves - The spinal structure & learn how to sequence force through the body
  • Flow like a river - Moving from the core with fluidity vs. moving from the periphery through navel radiation
  • Head/neck alignment – Move with organs support through mouthing pattern
  • Earth-based patterns – Exploring spinal patterns
  • Kriyas - Cleansing techniques and relaxation techniques
