Working with Adults & Organisations

Life is about learning, creativity and celebration. It is also about facing challenges and experiencing the human condition. Each life is made up of a variety of experiences some of which give rise in us to fears, insecurities and feelings such as grief, resentment, bitterness and guilt which, if left repressed or unhealed inhibit or limit the way we function in the world and may ultimately lead to ill-health.

These workshops create a nurturing space in which participants use their creativity to learn, heal and grow.

Who benefits from these workshops?

These workshops are for everyone. For those who come seeking answers, for those who would like to express themselves and gain confidence, for those who are looking for inspiration and inner joy and for those who would like to heal.

Many people who come to our workshops are seeking direction. In our fast paced materialistic world, they are aware of a lack of fulfilment and they need to feel complete in themselves.

This emphasis on materialism, achievement and success has lead to an increasing attachment to experience and outcome – most of our lives is spent pursuing what we like and avoiding what we don’t like and this is the cause of mental anguish and lack of fulfilment.

The way of modern living has contributed to an alarming rise in stress and anxiety disorders and depression.

"Depression is the leading cause of disability and the 4th leading contributor to the global burden of disease in 2000. By the year 2020, depression is projected to reach 2nd place for all ages, both sexes. Today, depression is already the 2nd cause in the age category 15-44 years for both sexes combined. " (World Health Organization 2007)

Our world of the 21st Century is facing many challenges – economic, environmental and social. To successfully face these challenges, each individual must realize that they have the potential to create a better world within their own environment. To do this they need to be confident and motivated individuals who can function effectively and positively in today’s society – not merely for personal self-advancement but for the betterment of self and others.

Other people who attend our workshops are looking to heal certain aspects of their lives. For some this means physical healing for which they require support and encouragement, while for others it is deep emotional healing. Some have suffered abuse and trauma.

Regardless of the motivation, there is in all of us a need to connect with a deeper source of wisdom and guidance within ourselves. Creative expression, meditation and relaxation therapy facilitate acceptance, clarity and ultimately healing – the ability to move on, to be self-reliant and the means with which to find joy and fulfilment.
