Child of God.....by Gerry Hillier

I am a child of God
and in the knowing part of me
I dissolve
like the sun dissolves into my skin
and becomes unknown
and I,
a sponge to its warmth
let it soak
into my many chambers;
like salt crystals dissolve into the sea
and become a deep penetrating echo
heard only in the depths
beneath its tireless heart;
like each minute dissolves
into eternal silence
And moves a dance
of sighs and whispers
through eternity.

Child of God
I am a child of God
and in the knowing past of me
I dissolve
like the sun dissolves into my skin
and becomes unknown
and I,
a sponge to its warmth
let it soak
into my many chambers;
like salt crystals dissolve into the sea
and become a deep penetrating echo
heard only in the depths
beneath its tireless heart;
like each minute dissolves
into eternal silence
And moves a dance
of sighs and whispers
through eternity.
